An introduction to M & Son watch posters and accessories

So where did M & Son all begin? Well, it sort of started when my dad and I started to get into watches and then that always leads to becoming a watch collector. You know the story, start with a cheap automatic and then all of a sudden you are looking at how much a kidney goes for so you can buy that Patek that you really don't need. After collecting for a little while and discussing watches with the old man every now and again, we sadly lost my dad. During this time it was hard to see light in anything, however, watches still seemed to bring me some sort of joy and for that I am alway going to be grateful to the watch community. M & Son then began (with a nod to my dads favourite dog, the Dachshund as the logo) as a way of me being able to focus on something that allowed me to be creative, I was no professional photographer, i'm still not but I like to think i've gotten better over the years. After a while taking pictures of the collection, I thought I would use my graphic design background to design a poster of the Rolex Explorer.
Who knew this design would then end up becoming the start of a small business that is still going today. I wanted to try and create something with M & Son that wasn't about just making money and fine tuning paid adverts and email campaigns, I just wanted to create something for watch collectors to enjoy. After designing many different posters I wanted a watch roll that was well built and would become well aged over time (we all love a bit of patina or damage depending who you ask) After a while I had the first prototype and it was clear that I was not a product designer as when the first roll turned up, the logo was tiny and looked more like a chunk missing from the leather than a nice clean embossed logo. Eventually the watch roll was complete and ready for the watch community to enjoy as well.
M & Son will always be a passion of mine and I hope that if you buy a poster or any of the accessories, you really do enjoy them to the fullest! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about what M & Son is.
